BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Oct. 1 2015) — Bloomington police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide.
Police say a man stabbed a woman then hanged himself at an apartment complex for students just south of College Mall.
The two bodies were found in a common area. Students who live nearby are shaken up by the violence.
“I mean it’s terrifying it happened here at my complex,” said IU student Jill Hummel.
Overnight students like Hummel took out their phones and recorded the scene of an apparent murder-suicide.
“You know this is my first time being away from home in a big city and it’s unsettling to know this really does happen,” said Hummel.
