Alright so today we got a VERY interesting reader e-mail from a guy who is very depressed with life. Since he had some very interesting things, we decided to publish it. Enjoy.
Hey guys. Joe here from William Paterson University. Thought I would shed light on some things on my mind lately. Life is not easy, it is very challenging and depressing sometimes. When I wake up and look at myself in the mirror, I wonder how am I going to get through the day? When I question my capabilities and my self worth, nothing seems ok. But what am I supposed to do about myself. My parents cannot support me very longer, I am a grown man who is very depressed about life.
I am going to graduate college but I can’t do much with my degree.. and going back to graduate school seems like a huge burden. Would you really want to take out a loan in this economy? I am so insecure about myself, I think I am ugly, and not worth anything. What am I supposed to do…. take a job that pays 11k a year? Or should I just go back to school and live off borrowed money?
In cases like these, I wish I were dumb like some of my friends. Some of my friends aren’t anxious about the past nor the future. They live in the moment, but when they live in the moment they can’t tell what is going to happen in the future. No one is psychic, but let’s face it, everything is an investment for the future. My not so smart friends can live with their parents until the age of 96. They don’t have to worry about the real world and survival. All they have to worry about is staying home and sleeping all day.
People who are dumb get taken advantage of.. but at the same time is the stress in the real world really worth it? All the expenses and demands of a job are extremely difficult. Big deal.. I get taken advantage of.. I don’t give a crap.. I don’t have to worry.
I can sit on my butt all day while my parents take care of me. What am I going to do with myself? I feel as though I am wasting my life away. Time is flying by and I can’t enjoy any second of it, because I don’t know what is going to happen. But to the dumb people who are oblivious and don’t know what is going on.. I wish I were like you. And guess what guys? I am sure if you are reading this you can admit, you wish that you were intelligent, because you wouldn’t have to worry.
