In elementary school, you learned the basics of grammar and proper spelling – a lesson you continued to learn in English classes throughout middle school and high school. You didn’t know it but you were a total grammar nerd in training. You know the proper use of there, their, and they’re. You know when to use a semi colon. You love the Oxford comma even though you know it’s acceptable not to use it. And you would think by the time you got to college, your fellow cohorts were all aboard the grammar train with you.

8. You Think Grammar is Cool
You can’t stand the new trend of not capitalizing letters that should be capitalized (thanks tumblr). You have always thought that being grammatical was the cool thing to do. Now, everyone seems to be forgetting just how cool it is but you refuse to succumb to peer pressure.

7. Everyone Knows You Are
You are the go-to essay proofreader in your friend group. If someone has a grammar question, they go straight to you. If someone spells something wrong, they know who is going to call them out on it (you).
