As a UK student, you are very aware that not all dorm rooms are created equal. If you decided to dorm on campus, you may very well have your own room, sink, and even a Tempur-pedic mattress! Then again, maybe your dorm is nowhere near that luxurious. No complaints here though, college is college and there is more to UK than just the dorms!
4. That Kentucky Charm
College students can sometimes get a bum rep for being impolite, entitled, know-it-alls. Good thing we were raised in Kentucky! Someone is walking behind you? Of course you are going to hold the door for them. You just witnessed somebody drop their books? Of course you are going to help them pick everything up. How refreshing.
3. You Have Learned How To Brave Any Elements In Just A UK Sweatshirt
3 degrees below freezing and a foot of snow? UK sweatshirt. Pouring rain? UK sweatshirt. 102 degrees and sunny? UK sweatshirt.
2. Your Accent May Be Fading
Depending on how rural the area you come from is, you may also notice your accent slowly starting to fade. Don’t worry though it won’t leave you entirely, as we all know, the Kentucky accent is nearly impossible to escape. As a matter of fact, you may notice your classmates from out of state starting to develop an accent of their own!
