5. If you see people you know you immediately want to talk to them. If you love to talk then studying where you may run into your friends might not be the best idea. This may seem like a dumb reason to not study in public, but if you immediately want to talk to your friends when you see them but you’re trying to study you’ll just distract yourself and them. And if you both can talk for hours then you’ll just be wasting a lot of studying time!
4. You study the best by reading things out loud. One study technique that seems to work for quote a few people is to read whatever it is your studying out loud. If you’re one of those people then it’s not the best to study in public because you’ll distract other people… and they might just think you’re weird.
3. You love to mess around with people when you get bored. Studying isn’t the most fun thing in the world so if you find yourself needing to do something to keep from getting bored, then you might try to bother your friends if you’re studying together. If you’re studying alone but you’re in a public place you may try and find other ways of keeping yourself entertained but then that defeats the purpose of studying and like most of the other things on this list, it might distract the people around you.
2. You get frustrated easily when you don’t retain the information. If you get frustrated easily when you’re studying then you may resort to yelling and/or throwing a temper tantrum and/or just throwing things. Studying can be hard and it’s not always easy to retain information, but sometimes you just have to power through it until you have it down. It’d be a lot better for you to take out your frustrations in private than in public.
1. You get distracted easily. If you’re the type of person that gets distracted easily then it may not be the best idea to study in public. People will be walking around all the time and making the smallest noises and if you keep getting distracted by it all then you’ll never get any studying done.
