10 Struggles Only University of Toledo Students Would Understand (5)

2.) E-books

Yes, the world is making the slow transition to become paperless. Unfortunately for college students everywhere, this means e-books, e-books, and more e-books. For UT this means professors that make you use e-books but never really use them in class, and if they do, they don’t know how to actually make them work. ALEKS and MyMathLab are always telling you the answer is wrong when in reality, the answer you put is actually the exact same one as the correct answer. The fiasco of learning on the internet at our university is incessant.

1.) Waste of tuition

Ever been outside when the sprinklers go off to water our lawn? Next time you’re walking past the Field House take a good long look at the sprinklers around you because you’ll notice something a little off about it. Yes, that’s right, the University seemingly takes pride in watering the pine trees, sidewalks and metal gates that end West Centennial Drive. If a little more thought is put into spending money hiring the right watering company to install and aim the sprinkler systems, they wouldn’t have to rehire someone else to redo the job and our tuition wouldn’t go up every other year. Well, actually it still might, but still it’s super annoying to get your pants wet when you’re trying to avoid all the sprinklers that are making sure our sidewalks are always hydrated.
