10 Things You Should Know About Taking 8 A.M. Classes

As I sit here in class at 7:50 a.m., waiting for my class to start, I decided that this would be a perfect time to write an article about 8 a.m. classes. While I was making my schedule in the summer I kept telling myself, “Take that 8 a.m. psych class because you love psych and you are gonna be thrilled to get up.” I didn’t even think that for the first few weeks all I was going to be learning was basic psychology stuff, founders, when it was founded, and what psychology is.

Waking up for 8 a.m. classes, for me, is not very easy. I know there are other people out there that want to take early classes and I’m here to help you make that decision.

10. It’s really hard to wake up if you haven’t had enough sleep. – There are many insomniacs and other people that don’t sleep well at night, and I’m one of them. Some people don’t go to sleep until early in the morning and by then you’re probably thinking about just pulling an all-nighter, but 6 o’clock doesn’t come very quickly.

9. You have campus to yourself. – The only people that are roaming around campus are the ones that are also going to an 8 a.m., or coming from an earlier class, or the ones taking the walk of shame. If you like nature or being alone every now and then your walk to class will be a nice reason to get up.
