Between the breakups, fights with family, mental breakdowns and all of the rest of life’s inevitable, you were always the one holding my hand, saying something stupid that you knew would make me laugh like, “Wanna go get ice cream and egg their house?” which probably was almost never appropriate. If I actually were to say yes, you’d be the only one to do it with me.
8. Thanks for being a part of my family and allowing me to be a part of yours
You never fail to walk into my house without a knock, hangout with my family when I’m at work, invite yourself into my fridge, closet, and any other things without question. When it comes time for stories, you’re always in the loop of all the latest family drama. You’re always a given when it comes to invites to family parties and barbecues, and you never fail to fit right in. My aunts and uncles consider you another niece, and grandma never forgets she has one more grandchild than she may think.

Growing up less than a 5 minute walk from each other, we surely never prepared ourselves for going to college as far as what seems like across the country from each other. Being so far away is never easy, but we make it work. Thanks for always calling, texting, FaceTiming, and your random “I miss you” Instagram posts.
6. Thanks for never letting me be an idiot alone
Whenever we get too bored of our normal lives, I always know who to call when I want to have a little fun. Whether it’s dancing like idiots at the bar alone while everyone stares at us, our crazy greetings of jumping up and down in a circle, or our stupid inside jokes that nobody but us will ever understand, the looks of concern of others thinking,”what the hell is wrong with them?” will never get old as long as you’re by my side.
