Now, I have never been one to drink from a cup someone else already drank out of, or do a keg stand, and this is a big reason why. In college, you never know who has what. You never know if the person you’re making out with in a super dark room has herpes. How could you when the room is so dark? Even if the room was not dark, how could you know someone had herpes unless you really were super paranoid and was examining the lips of someone?
Either way, college parties can teach someone valuable lessons, some lessons more difficult than others. The lesson learned for these 50+ students at ASU is simple. BE MORE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS!!!!! I can’t even imagine how I would feel if I were one of these students. You now have herpes for the rest of your life because of one stupid mistake you made in college. Herpes is permanent for the rest of your life. Now what? How are you going to marry someone? How are you going to tell a future soulmate that you have herpes, and more importantly how you even got it. There is no word for this problem. The only words to come to mind would me embarrassing, stupid, foolish, and ignorant.
