3. You know your campus like the back of your hand. Not only do you know where all of your classes are but you also know where all of the important buildings are on campus (i.e. financial aid, academic advisement, card services, residential programs, etc.). You can probably also tell people exactly what time every building on campus opens and closes.
2. You literally get paid to talk to people. Essentially you get paid to build your communication skills and practice public speaking – both of which are key skills that will come in handy later in life. You’ll only gain lifelong skills from working as a tour guide and the experience could help you land a job after college.
1. You make new friends all the time. Not only do you basically get paid to talk to people and build communication skills, you also basically get paid to make friends. You may end up finding some of your closest friends through giving tours, you could end up becoming a mentor, you could end up finding someone to take classes and study with, or even a future roommate! The possibilities are endless, but needless to say you’ll never be short of friends.
