Let me preface this by saying The University of Toledo is an amazing school to attend. Countless opportunities await you at this college and alumni and current students alike can’t disagree with that. Just like every other university however, us Rockets have some stuff to gripe about too. From the weather to the annoying roommate down the hall, we all have issues, but here are some of the struggles only UT students will understand.
10.) Rocket Solutions
When it comes to financial aid, no one has an easy ride. Everyone jumps through hoops so they don’t have to go into the hell that’s being $100,000 in debt after four+ years. One of UT’s hoops is Rocket Solutions. Having time to actually go into the office is a blessing because the line is usually only 15-30 minutes long but it saves you from the dread hold line. Good luck calling in there to get your aid straightened out because after being on hold for an hour and a half, you might not even remember why you called in the first place. Oh well, there’s always next week right?
9.) Traffic/Construction
If you live on campus, you dodged a bullet with this one. For commuters however, the traffic to get to class everyday is killer. Depending on the day, if you live 5 miles from campus, it could anywhere from 10 minutes to a half an hour just to get on campus. That’s traffic alone, now factor in the construction that doesn’t stop for any season and that’ll add at least another 5 minutes to your drive. Think about that next time you complain about having to get up 15 minutes early for your 8am.
