Haunted Attraction Workers Reveal Craziest Halloween Stories Through Reddit (3)

During high school, I worked at a haunted house one October. About half way through the month, I was given a new role. I was painted completely black and put in a dark room. The only light came from hanging skulls around the room. It was really easy to hide in a corner, wait for someone to get into the room, and then sneak up behind them and do something.

This one large guy was really scared. He was about halfway through the room and had no idea I was there. I sneaked up behind him, got just a couple inches away from him, and whispered “run.”

He screamed, whipped around, and elbowed me straight in the face. Broke my nose. Took a couple minutes off to stop the bleeding and just jumped back in. Totally worth it when I was honored as the scariest performer. I have so many stories, and no one ever believes me because I’m a little happy guy, who apparently can’t work at a haunted house.next
