2. Academic Atmosphere
Being a commuter student while in class has absolutely no effect on their academic experience. The professors have no idea, the students do not care and they “don’t feel different than the other students.” It’s nice for them to be in an environment in which they “fit in better” to and are not constantly judged for not living on campus. Although it is hard to meet people during class (everyone is trying to concentrate and learn), “it is a good place to let yourself be known” to other students and provides commuters with a large array of “familiar faces” to approach in social situations.
