Caddo Lake in East Texas is the spot. It’s filled with gargantuan cypress trees that are so majestic you’ll question whether you’re traveling through a real-life swamp. It feels like you’re in a scene from “Chronicles of Narnia.”

Millions of bats call the area surrounding the Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin because it’s humid and there are a lot of places for bats to hide. There are so many bats there you’ll be inspired to become the next Batman.
1. Stop By Buc-ee’s
This isn’t so much a restaurant as it as a humongous grocery store with a multitude of gas pumps. It has everything from a bakery, a deli, cutlery, plates, hunting gear, stuffed animals, and slippers. They’re also famous for having tremendously clean bathrooms. In 2012, their New Braunfels, Texas location was named as having the country’s cleanest restrooms. You can get literally anything at Buc-ee’s.
