Advice For Women Thinking About Going Through Sorority Recruitment

First and foremost, BE YOURSELF. This is obvious and at the same time it can often be pretty difficult. When you are going through the recruitment process and the girls from different sororities are asking you all kinds of questions, you are going to want to answer how you think they want you to. But I don’t think you should. I think you should answer how you normally would in any other situation. Being yourself is one of the most important things that we can do in this world. As the famous poet, Dr. Seuss, once said ” Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” This is honestly the best advice anyone can ever give to you. Whether it be for recruitment or for life, remember it.

Be the best version of yourself! This is also an important recruitment and life tip. You know how they say first impressions are important, well who ever came up with that was a genius. People always remember how they felt when they first met you. Trust me on this. You should wear something that makes you look nice and brush your hair. I am not telling you to go out and buy a Lily Pulitzer dress and be uncomfortable. This goes back to the first bit of advice. Be yourself. Wear something that is pretty but yet also comfortable. Also wear sensible shoes. (Please do not wear the shoes that you wore to prom.)
