My freshman year I had two of my best friends visiting me at school. We were playing pong and drinking in my room, we actually stole a chalkboard and using it for a table taking up most of my room and beers were just everywhere. Anyways after a party my friends got separated and one of my friends from school told me my buddy from home ran into the river behind my dorm. I was so confused and I guess an RA on campus stopped him because he had an open container and he just took off in the woods behind my dorm, and fell in the river because it was dark and he didn’t even know it was there. Mind you this is in October in new Hampshire and its probably 50 degrees outside around 11:00. My other friend is banging some chick in the girls bathroom and all he did was ask for me to roll him a beer.. lol. I fell asleep and was woken up by the head of Public Safety at 3:00 AM. officers were searching my room finding so many bottles, pot, beers on top of beers, I thought for sure I was screwed. He told me that my friends still was not found and they were ready to pronounce him dead and inform his parents. They had police officers searching the woods with dogs, a helicopter with heat sensing technology, boats, the whole nine yards, but after searching for hours they could not find him or any trace of his body. I was walking back to my dorm thinking how awful this was until I see my friend standing there in the woods soaking wet. I get him a towel and call Public Safety to let him know he was ok. I guess once he fell in the river he swam across, broke into one of those sheds on display outside of a Home Depot, miraculously his lighter still worked and was able to start a fire to warm up, and then strategically dodged the dogs and boats and choppers and swam back across once the coast was clear.
Easily one of the craziest nights of my life.
