“CollegeWeekly” The New Campus Sensation

If you are not familiar with CollegeWeekly yet then you need open a laptop because its everywhere from Instagram, Twitter, and now the newly launched YouTube channel releasing the best college content to you weekly. CollegeWeekly even featured some familiar college faces in their firsts couple of episodes such as Kyle Herbert, Jimmy Tatro, and CollegeWeekly Founder, Jeff Yofray.

Jeffrie “Yofray” Ray, former CEO and Founder of I’m Shmacked. A little over 4 years ago Yofray released a college party video to Youtube titled “I’m Shmacked” and it went absolutely viral! College students, High School students, and even parents had heard about this new company that filmed college parties. Yofray became very successful in the college community. He sold out his merchandise, he sold out college EDM shows across the country, and even sold a portion of his company at a disclosed valuation. After a history of Yofray and his partner not seeing eye to eye he decided to move on from I’m Shmacked and start a new company. When we asked Yofray why he decided to step away from I’m Shmacked he stated that it was becoming something that he did not envision. The company started to get a bad reputation and started getting banned from schools and that is not something that he wanted to be associated with.

CollegeWeekly is about the experiences that students go through and capturing them on camera. CollegeWeekly established a strong social media presence early on in the college community with the help of Jack Carpenter and Curtis Michael. Jack was a big help to the team by switching his already Emmy Nominated Twitter account USAPartystory to the now CollegeWeekly Twitter.

Every school has their own special traditions and Yofray is determined to share them with the rest of the country. I can rant about how great CollegeWeekly is all day but I’d rather you see for yourself. Check out the first 3 episodes of CollegeWeekly below!

Enjoy!
