When the weekend hits, everyone leaves their last class thinking the same thing; it’s time to head to the bars. Even if you aren’t a huge drinker, the social atmosphere is undeniably fun, and most people would rather spend a night out than hanging out at home watching T.V. (don’t get me wrong, both are still pretty great). Once the rest of your friends get out of their classes and meet up with you, the most important decision of the entire weekend is made. Everyone has their favorite bar, bars they like to go to, bars they’d rather avoid, and bars they won’t set foot in. Your college town probably has a wide assortment, but I would be willing to bet most of them would fall into one of the following categories.
5. The first bar is the one that ninety percent of college campuses definitely have, and that statistic does not even have to be backed up by legitimate evidence. Everyone knows about the big name bar. This is probably the most visited bar in town that has specials every night, and everyone can name the specials by heart. Freshman go there because it’s the only one they can get into, and upperclassmen go there because it’s the one they can afford. This one is lit purely through strobe lights. It’s kind of gross sometimes because it’s so packed with people, but be honest: you’ll be there tomorrow to spend your last three dollars.
