“She just said, ‘I’m not very proud of myself right now, Penny,’ and I said, ‘I know you’re not,’ and I said, ‘I don’t even know what you were thinking,’ because, that’s just not her, it’s not her,” said McKenzie. Detectives with Parker County Sheriff’s Special Crimes Unit say Wells first gave the kids beer. According to the probable cause warrant, “Each child had 2 beers.”
Then, detectives said Wells brought out a purple and pink colored glass pipe.
According to the warrant, “She allowed the children to smoke marijuana and she ground the marijuana and packed the pipe and smoked with the children.”
According to the warrant, “She thought for a minute that [giving beer and marijuana] was a bad idea but she did it anyway.”
