There’s a new app that is officially launched on both Google Play and ITunes, and it’s all about attracting college students. The app is called TeepeedU, and it’s essentially a socializing app built for college students. With its slogan being ‘TPing campus with a Digital You!’, it’s main goal is to help college students like ourselves interact with each other, find out more about each other without those awkward conversations in the middle of a calculus lecture, and to direct us towards possible new friends, or even potential partners down the road.
Similar to Snapchat, Instagram, Tinder, and Facebook, TeepeedU is a mix of all four, combining the opportunity to use ones location to find certain information about an individual you might be curious about, and to later connect with them.
As a free app on the market, TeepeedU hopes to build its network base up to all of the major universities on campuses nationwide. Some of the features of the app include the following: GPS locating posted images and spot selfies, flash antics where GPS located groups can submit and vote on a fun antic to do together, rating of parties and events on campus, self-made biographies that you can post for others to see, and more.
TeepeedU also uses augmented reality as their primary means of technology in order to deliver an optimal experience for each user of the app. This is similar to Pokémon Go, in the sense where users of the app can interact with people around campus by simply walking around and visiting new parts of the campus that they might not have visited before. Not only is this a benefit towards getting your exercise throughout the day, but it also lets you interact with actual individuals, make friends, and gain free samples that you can redeem in real life!
In addition to some of these awesome features, with more points that you gain on the app, the more free samples that you can unlock for your enjoyment. For example, if you’re walking down the quad, you might see on the app that a free sample is coming your way. These samples are available, similar to Pokemon Go, by simply walking around your campus. Who doesn’t love free samples shipped directly to your smart device?
Make sure you download the app as soon as you can to get the amazing perks. I know that one day this app will turn into the next big thing, maybe even bigger than Snapchat!
