Ole Miss Girl Abducted and Assaulted after Going Into Fake Taxi, Students on Alert

OXFORD, MS (Mississippi News Now) –

On September 17, police say a female student at Ole Miss apparently got into a taxi that wasn’t a real taxi and was abducted and assaulted.

According to WTVA in Tupelo, the student entered a taxi near Chucky Mullins Drive and Poole Drive on campus sometime around 12:30 a.m. Police say that nearly 3 hours later the student was released in the Rebel Drive and Northgate Drive area.

Some of her items were found just north of Jackson Avenue near Sorority Row.
