Senior Year as told by Friends (3)

14. “What do you want to do after you graduate?”

shut up

This question is a conversation starter for many adults. It was like when we were seniors in high school and everyone asked, “where are you going to school?” and “what are you majoring in?” The only difference is this time I do not have an answer. I am guaranteed to have a mini-anxiety attack as soon as that question is asked. I know what I want to do, but I do not know what I am going to do. Please do not remind me.

13. “You know, you are going to have to do that on your own soon…”

Mom is not going to make my doctor’s appointments for me forever? Why not? I am going to have to learn to “adult” soon, and I am not sure I am ready.

12. Waves of appreciation for your friends

Sometimes you just need to remind your friends how much you appreciate them. Senior year, it seems necessary more and more often. It is not hard to get me to do a favor for someone because it is likely I am repaying her for something she did for me.up-next-page
