It’s been the trending topic on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and pretty much every YouTuber known to man within the span of this past week. Taylor Swift’s public relations team is probably sitting in their own words by now, knowing that Kim K and Yeezy have finally shut them the hell up. Before you pick sides based on who you prefer on a celebrity standpoint, maybe you should understand the entire story.
Let’s take it back to the 2008 VMA’s, shall we? It all started when the beef between Kanye West and Taylor Swift first erupted, when West came on stage during Swift’s acceptance speech and told the audience that Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” should have won the award, not Taylor Swift. Baffled by his response, she took to social media and shamed him all over the internet. Well, Taylor, karma’s a bitch and apparently, she’s hanging in your driveway.
Fast forward all this time, we found out that, with the new release of Kanye West’s new album, The Life of Pablo, Taylor Swift had another debut when he mentioned her in the song, Famous. The lyrics say, “I think me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that bitch famous.” We all thought that Taylor wasn’t aware of this, and she blew up the internet with her remarks on how Kanye West called her a “bitch” and whatnot. Newsflash, Taylor, that’s a major word in Kanye’s vocabulary.
Taylor Swift started to get really rowdy with her comments, especially when the music video came out of her naked in bed with multiple other celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian herself, Rihanna, Amber Rose, Kaitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby, Ray J, and many other more. The music video was supposed to mimic an artist in which Kanye West admired greatly, hence the risqué music video. Though not many other celebrities really spoke out about this controversy, Taylor Swift made it known over Twitter, Facebook, and Lord knows other forms of social media that the music video was not granted with her permission. Sounds suspicious that not many other people argued over this video except for Taylor, huh?
When Kim finally got fed the hell up with Swift’s remarks about the video, she took to social media to fire back. When Taylor was asked if she knew about the lyrics beforehand, Swift replied no, claiming that the lyrics were not read over to her and she did not approve of her name being mentioned in the song. And then, Mrs. Kardashian West got involved.
We all know based on the Kardashian history, you shouldn’t fuck with Kim. You just don’t. She has way too many connections and a follower base, so it’s just impossible to sneak something past this little Armenian goddess. Kim tweeted out to her fans to follow her on snapchat if they didn’t already. This hinted enough that shit was about to go down. Either Kanye was going to go off on Taylor or some evidence was going to pop up. When we took to snapchat, there was the recorded conversation of Kanye West and Taylor Swift conversing with each other over the phone, discussing that very line. You’re done, Taylor. You’re done.
And there you have it. Spin the story as much as you would like, but it will all end up the same way. Taylor fucked up. She lied to the press and denied that she knew what Kanye was going to say about her, and made this whole hoopla turn into a big media frenzy that didn’t even need to happen. In all honesty, Ms. Swift, you owe me some valuable minutes to my life back.
