3. Having To Pay For Food
Back in high school, my parents paid for my lunch at school. They still do in college. But when I lived at home in high school, they also paid for a fair amount of meals when I ate out. In college, I have been cut off, forced to use my money I earned through working previous summers. None of this is necessarily a bad thing. My parents have successfully taught me fiscal responsibility, but it takes some getting used to it. I’m glad I’m learning how to manage my money in college and not the real world because there are real-life consequences in the real world. It’s just a bit of an adjustment, that’s all.
