Thoughts Every Post Grad Has While Paying Student Loans

Ah, that special time of the month that makes you actually hate the four best years of your life. Where to start? Student loans can be a painful process. You don’t realize how much that piece of paper, err, I mean degree, costs until you see the ginormous number on ink in front of you. The range of emotions that come synonymously with the draining of your bank account are crazier than any ex girlfriend or boyfriend that you have ever experienced in your entire life. I wish I could say there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, but really there’s just a whole lot of crying. Sorry, my friends.

It’s like no matter how much you pay, you’ll never truly be ahead. And that’s not even the worst part. Considering the fact that you’ll be somewhere around 55 when you pay all the debt off, at least we can all look back on the good times that we had before we were grown-ups. Oh, the good old days.

If you’re not paying student loans yet, don’t let this completely bring you down. You might owe a whole lot of money, but odds are the good times outweigh the extreme debt. But here’s a few things you that will run through your head when the big post-grad day arrives.

10. I have to pay what?!

Nothing in life can fully prepare you for seeing the huge amount of money that you owe.

9. Why the hell did I ever go to college?

This is probably the first thing that goes through everyone’s mind when they see the mind boggling number. Then you think of how much fun you had and the payment hurts slightly less.

8. I swear I didn’t learn enough for it to be so expensive.

giphy-1

Because honestly, I learned more from my roommates than I did any textbook.

7. I’m not paying this.

giphy-4

Just throw a fit and maybe they’ll think your not actually a grown-up yet.

6. Whatever, just take all my money.

giphy-2

Just take everything I own, it’s fine.
