Why Being An Only Child Comes In Handy At College

Some people may think that because we didn’t have siblings to help us or torment us growing up that means we aren’t ready for the real world, but we know that is totally wrong! We may miss out on the brotherly and sisterly bonds, but that doesn’t mean being an only child doesn’t have its perks too.

10. You’re extremely independent- While you may not have lived away from home before, it’s easy for you to adjust because you were already used to being on your own.

9. You’re really close with your parents- If you do get homesick though, your parents are always a phone call or text away since you are the favorite child. They focus all of their attention on you for whatever you need.

8. You are good at handling stress- You just need some quiet space and you can get through as much work as you need to do in a few hours.

7.Complete silence is your BFF- Similarly, if you’re alone in your room it can be the best thing ever because you were so used to it at home, so these moments refresh you.

6. You have a good imagination- If you need some creativity for a project or paper it comes pretty easy to you after a childhood of imaginary friends, playing pretend, and making your own games.
