A Bloomington woman was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of murder after she allegedly shot and killed her husband with her kids present in the home.
According to Monroe County Sheriff’s detective Brad Swain, around 4:30 p.m. deputies were called to the 500 block of West San Juan Drive on the south side of Bloomington after neighbors heard several shots fired.
She told police the couple had marital problems in the past and that domestic issues came to a head on Saturday.
Detectives say the couple’s two children were in the room when the shooting occurred but they were not hurt.
