5. How they play a unique variety of music
They always start the night off with the typical country hits “Country Girl Shake It For Me” and “Save A Horse Ride a Cowboy” but slowly transition to the corny pop songs of the time such as “Bad Blood” or “Shut Up and Dance” and all of a sudden it turns real ratchet with some “In Da Club” and “Blase”. No matter what type of music you like, you’re sure to hear one of your favorites at this bar.
4. No fake ID needed
Fake ID’s are expensive and probably won’t work 9 times out of 10. As long as you’re 18 and up with a college ID you can party at this local bar on the strip.
3. What happens at McHebes stays at McHebes
Similar to Vegas, McHebes is a no-judgement zone. If you get really drunk and make-out with the guy from your astronomy class- it didn’t happen. If you dance on the bar to In Da Club by 50 Cent-it didn’t happen. If you took too many Fireball shots and puked in the bathroom-it definitely didn’t happen.
2. Open all holidays
If you have no clue what to do on Halloween or St.Patricks Day, going to McHebes is always an option for Hofstra University students. The bartenders sometimes go above and beyond to celebrate the holidays with signature drinks like green beer.
1. The ridiculous concoctions the bartenders come up with
If you order anything other than a beer or a basic drink such as coke and rum or cranberry and vodka, you’ll notice that the drinks always taste different. I’ve been attending McHebes for a year and a half now and still have no clue what the blue drink I always order is even made of.
If you’re ever around the private Long Island university you should check this bar out sometime.
