11. “Hey I’m really into Asian guys/girls”: Please don’t let that be your opening line! It’s cool that you have an open mind but it doesn’t make us like you more. Sometimes it’s actually creepy :O
10. “Hey your English is really good!”: Yeeeeeah thanks, I’ve lived here my entire life. Obviously not the case for everyone, but it can really bother some people to hear this.
9. “Do you know _____?”: Yes, because every Asian person knows each other…actually, this is sort of true, but if the only connection you’re making between 2 Asians is the fact that they’re…Asian, ugh.
8. “Can you say ___ in your language?”: For some people they’re more than willing, but catch them on a bad day and you’ll get a look and a huff of annoyance.
7. “Haha you’re so un-American!”: Especially for an Asian person who identifies as an American, it’s kinda painful to hear even as a joke.
6. *anything in any Asian language to any random Asian*: The biggest problem is that you probably picked the wrong language, honestly, haha.
