Syracuse Police are investigating a shots fired incident on Warner and Hope Avenues. That area is south of the SU campus. Reporter Brett Hall is on the scene and reports a “heavy” police presence there. Hall reports that at least two people were shot at that scene. The first call to 911 indicated a suspect or suspects shot at police when they arrived. Police Chief Frank Fowler said from the crime scene that no officers were struck by bullets.
In the cemetery, police are searching behind graves and in and around other grave site monuments.
