When you were in high school, I’m sure your teachers talked constantly about how they were preparing you for college and teaching you the things you’d absolutely need to know when you got there. A lot of the things you learned in high school certainly are necessary as a foundation of education, but some of the skills they pressed on you just aren’t as mandatory as they tried to tell you.
They made you learn these things in high school so you’d be ready for college, but did you really need to? If technology hasn’t made these skills obsolete, then odds are you never needed to know them in the first place.
