5. Give pop quizzes to make sure everyone did the reading.
This isn’t junior high school, Prof. You don’t need to try and “catch” your students for not completing the reading on time.
4. Refuse to ever curve tests or extend due dates.
Some professors curve almost every test and are very flexible with due dates on big assignments. Others…not so much. Of course, it would be too much to ask for a curve on every single exam, but can’t you throw your students a bone once in a while? After all, if a large portion of them are failing on every test, doesn’t the finger of blame point towards the instructor anyway?
