How are you going to like it when you can never ever find a place to park when you get home from school or work? Is that frustration going to be worth it?

Living in a bad neighborhood will certainly be cheaper, but there’s the added risk of crime and vandalism. Also, your parents may not like the idea of you living in the bad part of town.
9. Keep in mind, the cost of utilities will add up quickly.
Cable, Internet, water, gas, electricity, maintenance fees… Rent is not the only thing you have to be able to afford every month.
10. How much furniture will you need to buy?
That’s not going to be cheap, either. Lots of college towns have places that are furnished for you. It might be worth the price tag to go for one of those places since buying your own couch, table, desk, and various appliances is definitely going to cost you.
