The Frenemy: You smiled at her in the hallway and acknowledged her presence in group outings, but wouldn’t consider inviting her to your house for a sleepover and never admitted to her the guy you secretly had a thing for. The two of you were probably once friends, but you learned pretty quickly that she was not the one to trust with your childhood secrets. You would mentally groan when she showed up at the party, but smiled and told her you liked her hair just to keep things civil. You know that she rolled her eyes when she was done talking to you and probably told her friends how fake you were. It wasn’t much of a loss when you graduated and didn’t have to see her half-hearted wave from down the hallway anymore. The time of your life where you had to smile and pretend you hadn’t heard the things she said about you behind your back has long since passed, and no one can blame you for deleting her phone number.
