The Wildcats are a huge deal in Kentucky, but they have a rival with a following that is nearly as huge and just as dedicated, and if you are from here, you know who I am talking about. University of Louisville fans and UK fans have been die hard rivals since 1912 when they first played against one another. The rivalry is so well known that it was actually ranked the number 3 sports rivalry in all of college sports by Dick Vitale. You can literally feel the tension in the air during “the Battle of the Bluegrass” and, depending on who you are with, you may even see some harsh words exchanged!
