An Open Letter to the Roommate Who Didn’t Work Out (2)

The point of this letter isn’t to say that I still hate you. Because in truth, I don’t think I ever hated you. I hated that we were never what I thought we were supposed to be. I know now that being roommates doesn’t mean we have to be friends. Heck, we don’t even have to like each other, but we do need to respect each other. So I want you to know that I will do my best to stop telling my “horror stories” about you, in the hopes that you will do the same. I respect that we’re different people that weren’t able to live in a confined space together, and that’s ok.

At the end of the day, please know that even though we may not talk anymore, I still think you’re a valuable human being. I hope you get everything you want in life and more.
