Professors at community colleges are just like any other, although sometimes you do get a crazy one. I once had an astronomy professor shout “it is all just an illusion!” over and over again for an hour…every week.
You can’t beat the convenience of having a college in your town, especially if you have a full time job or kids. Although there is a certain convenience factor to community colleges, professors at mine have been known to occasionally cancel class without notifying anyone. Not that this doesn’t happen at regular college as well….but damn is it annoying.
Most of the faces you see in your classes will likely be familiar, since this college is in your community you will notice a lot of your graduating class had the exact same idea. This can be great when it comes time for group projects because you will already know half of your class. Just hope you don’t get stuck with a partner like Jeff here.
