What Would Happen if Walter White Taught at Hofstra

Last year I spent most Hofstra weeknights catching up with what I’ve considered the most well written show on television: Breaking Bad. No matter how terrible of a person Walter White becomes I still found myself rooting for him. Creator Vince Gilligan perfectly manipulates his audience into caring about a sociopathic murderer. It made me wonder how I’d respond to such a person in real life. Then it made me think… what if one of my teachers was like that?

If Walter White was a Hofstra Professor he’d come in thinking a college campus would be the perfect place to deal meth. He’d reach out to student dealers, try to find a suitable house to make his meth lab, and search for his Jesse Pinkman. After finding a student who fit the profile, he’d ask about a possible future in dealing meth. To this the student would respond by saying hell no. The kid would ask why Mr. White doesn’t just deal weed. Ultimately they’d settle for something they both find suitable: Adderall.
