I think that the study makes some very valid points; I would definitely see a spike in stimulant use starting around times like finals and midterms because that’s when we’re most stressed and unable to devote our focus on what we should be devoting it to since vacation is right around the corner. The statistics of alcohol and marijuana use spiking around June caught me by surprise because that’s the time that students are home for the summer and not at school. I thought that use would increase once the student got to school due to freedom, but I guess that’s why studies are done, right?!
