Staying in the Dorm
While there is nothing long with the occasional Netflix binge, it’s probably best not to make a habit of it. Get out to events on campus! Meet new people and find friends to hang out with on weekends!
Not Knowing Your Limits!
If you are going to be adventurous on the weekends be aware of how much you are drinking! Pace yourself – Every batch of “The Juice” is different and depending on how drunk the hosts want their guests!
Buying ALL Your Textbooks at Once
If you ask any upperclassman if they have used every book that they have purchased, 99% will tell you no they haven’t (and that, more times than not, buying the textbook is a waste of money). Many professors will have a copy on reserve at the campus library for students to use, but others will simply not use the book at all. Either way its good to find out from students who have taken the class in the past if the book in the course materials is truly necessary.
Confidence in Everyone – Trust No Bitch!
College is full of learning experiences – Do yourself a favor and keep an eye on your valuables so that a stolen Macbook isn’t one of them.
Bringing EVERYTHING to the Dorms!
Surprisingly there are only a handful of things you will actually need when making the transition to college. When you are packing for school, be sure to ask yourself: “How often will i actually use this?“ and “Is it needed?” This will save you time and hassle both moving in and moving out!
