‘Twas The First Week Of College And I Got Three Butt Tattoos

Many people talk about getting tattoos once they move out of their parent’s house. They’ll get something that means something to them, maybe a name or a song lyric; or perhaps a picture/drawing of something that carried a memory. Regardless of what the tattoo is, the placement should also be carefully thought about. We don’t want a tattoo on a place that might stretch out and become deformed. Also, if your job does not want any tattoos showing, a lot of areas might be out of the question for your body art. This is the story of how I received three tattoos, on my butt, my first week of college.

College is a time to meet new people, explore new places and try new things. Some friends my roommate and I had met our first few days at college were all in my dorm room and we were playing some card games, just hanging out. We start talking about anything and everything and we land on the topic of tattoos. I talked about the tattoo I had on my ankle, and then said I had a tattoo on my inner lip that said “LAMB”. I showed off what was left of the terrible ink and butt tattoos came into the conversation. That is when it happened, the dare that forever changed my butt. A guy says to me, “Hey Lauren, I dare you to get a butt tattoo. I’ll pay for it if you do it.” Then another chimes in saying that they dare me to get two, and then last but not least, “I dare you to get three.”

I am not known to back down from a dare. If I know it won’t cause myself or anyone else any harm then I say why not go for it? I made a few phone calls to some local tattoo shops and  once I found the one I wanted to go to,  we piled into our cars and headed off. As we were driving to California Tattoos, the name of the shop, I thought about what tattoos I wanted to permanently get on my body. Then my roommate came up with an excellent idea, that ultimately turned into another dare that I would not put this on my butt. next
