You correct your friends all the time, and you can tell they’re getting tired of it. There is probably one friend in particular who hates your guts for it. They get it…it’s “too,” not “to.” And for heaven’s sake, Bobby, it is “drown,” not “drownd.”
1. You Can’t Leave Yourself Uncorrected
We have all typed “ducking” in a text on accident and felt the urge to correct it because of how silly we feel. Now, imagine having that urge every single time you send a typo. That is what a grammar nerd goes through on a daily basis. And Gosh forbid you accidentally send the wrong form of “you’re.”
