Reasons You Have to Attend a Music Festival Before You Die
It seems like the past couple of years that everyone and their mom is going to a music festival. Here are reasons why you should attend one before you die.

Music festivals are the epitome of hedonism in the 21st century. Great music, party supplies, beautiful people, and neon lights make for a college vacation experience that is beyond compare. Everything from EDC to Bonnaroo to Lollapalooza, there are plenty of music festivals for you to attend that occur year round all across America. And if you’re feeling extra adventurous, there are international music festivals you can go with your college friends.

There are literally an infinite amount of reasons that you should attend a music festival in your lifetime, but I have sorted the top 10 reasons to attend one for your reading pleasure. Take advantage of your health and youth. Your college years and your 20s are the best time to be selfish so enjoy yourself.

Check out why you have to attend a music festival before you die.

10.) You Will Discover Tons of New Music

Music festivals are a magnet for good music, and not just one genre of music either. Bluegrass, EDM, rock, rap, pop, and just about anything else you could think of are likely to be on the lineup of any good festival (except for those dedicated to specific genres of course.) Every year when music festivals like Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Lollapalooza, release their lineups you can bet me and my friends are all over their websites, discovering new artists like kids in a candy store.

9.) Food Trucks!

Whichever festival you decide to attend, chances are pretty good they will be on top of their food truck game. A gyro for breakfast, pizza for lunch, a bratwurst for dinner, and wash it all down with beer on tap? Yes, please.

8.) You Will Meet an Enormous Range of People

People travel from all over the country to go to these insane events , so needless to say, you will meet some interesting characters during your stay. Over the course of my last two festivals i have met a drunk fellow known as the poop man, Jesus Christ, and a man who can can part crowds like the red sea. In regards to the wide range of people you will meet, that is barely the tip of the iceberg, and I will just have to leave it at that.

7.) Everyone is Happy

One interesting feature of music festivals is the general lack of bad attitudes. I mean, you would think these people have known you your whole life or something the way they treat you. Not only that, but it is completely contagious. You will be spreading the love like never before, and might even come home with a new outlook on kindness.

6.) You will broaden your horizons musically

You will inevitably have some time to kill in between shows you have actually planned on watching, which may lead you to wander around the festival site and discover some new music. Who knew you liked funk?!
