4. Boulder is consistently voted most fit city in America
From the state-of-the-art Rec Center, to hiking 14-ers, to participating in races like the BolderBoulder or the Nearly Naked Mile, CU students and Boulder residents are some of the most active and fit people you’ll ever meet. They say Boulder has 300 days of sunshine, and they (whoever they are) aren’t wrong- Boulder students love to spend time outside getting #fitandfab.
3. Political holidays
As Colorado inhabitants CU Boulder students look to actively celebrate the political progression taking place in America today. Okay, it’s no secret that 420 has been a practice among Boulder students and Coloradans for decades leading up to the passing of Amendment 64 legalizing recreation marijuana sales, but no school celebrates the high holiday quite like the University of Colorado. Cannabis conventions and rallies take place every year in both Boulder and Denver to celebrate and recognize one of the most progressive pieces of legislation in their lifetimes.
