15 Ways To Actually Get Work Done At The Library (2)

9. Don’t respond to texts or phone calls unless it’s important.

Studying is a priority now.  Every time you stop to shoot off a quick text message, you’re breaking your focus.

8. Set a timer.

Set a timer on your phone (and then hide your phone) and give yourself a goal like…you want to finish one page of notes before the timer goes off.  If you feel like you’re racing yourself or working towards something, it’ll help drive you.

7. Try different ways of quizzing yourself.

If staring at your notes and trying to remember facts doesn’t work, you might have better luck online.  Websites like Quizlet have tons of user-generated quizzes on almost every subject that you can use to test yourself as many times as you want.

6. Bring earbuds.

If music is going to keep all the other distractions out, then plug in those earbuds.  The music might just help keep your energy level high.

5. Don’t bring earbuds.

You know yourself better than anyone and if playing music is going to distract you, then don’t even think about it. next
