15 Ways To Actually Get Work Done At The Library (3)

 4. Leave your phone somewhere you can’t easily see it.

Even if you’re not responding to any of the texts, anytime you see your phone light up, it’s going to snap your attention away from what you should be doing.

3. Have a plan of attack.

Don’t just bring your textbook and stare at it, hoping knowledge will jump out and hit you in the face.  Know what you’re going to do before you get to the library.  Are you going to skim the chapter again?  Are you going to copy helpful vocab words?  Are you going to memorize important dates or write them on notecards?

2. Bring necessary supplies.

Come on, this isn’t second grade!  Come prepared with paper, pencils, highlighters, and whatever books or notes you need.

1. Don’t go during peak hours.

The busiest times are right around midday or lunchtime.  If you can’t avoid going then, that’s okay, but you might have better luck when the library is dead.  Early in the morning and late at night are good, but probably not on Saturday or Sunday when everyone else goes and the place is jumping.
