23 Things Every Pitt Student Needs to Do Before They Graduate (6)

4. Market Thanksgiving: They get a catering service so it’s top-notch (as top-notch as cafeteria food can be). Students will sit on the floor. Freshmen will swipe their older friends in, and all is well. Lines are long but it is well worth it, and you’ll get 2 Thanksgiving meals!

3. Post a picture of the Cathedral of Learning: if you take it from the inside, caption it something related to Hogwarts. If it’s from the outside, either #wcw or “bae” will suffice. Also, make sure it happens on a weekly basis.

2. Eat at all the “classic Pittsburgh” places: Eat n Park, Primanti’s, Pamela’s, DeLucas. To be sure, ask your native Pittsburgh friends and they will excitedly tell you why these places are important.

  1. Check out Phipps Conservatory and all the museums: During the year, it’s all free with your Pitt ID. It applies to all Carnegie museums, The Mattress Factory, The Warhol, etc.

You might think you don’t enjoy sports, or theater, or music, but how would you know if you haven’t tried it? The best time to experiment is now, when most things are free or cheap for students. You never know what you’ll be doing in the future, so take advantage of all the opportunities offered to you as a student of the University of Pittsburgh!
