5 Best Jobs To Have In College

No one wants to fall under the category of being a stereotypical “broke college kid”. Every college student needs money but it can be difficult to balance academics and a social life while having a demanding part time job. Here are some of the best jobs to have as a busy college student that needs a little more cash.

5. Waiter/ Waitress. Although being a waitress is notorious for being an annoying job, it’s a great opportunity that lets you walk away with cash after each shift. Not to mention, you will more than likely be able to bring food home from time to time which is always a plus.

4. Bartender. Being a bartender is another job that gives the luxury of walking home with tips but in a more college life environment. It’s also nice to have the knowledge on how to actually mix a drink correctly rather than thinking that pouring 90% vodka and 10% soda is ok.

3. Gym. Working at an on-campus gym is one of the smartest things you can do as a college student. You can work out right after your shift to avoid that “freshman 15” which seems to come around every school year.

2. Computer Lab. This job requires for you to be a little bit tech-savvy. Most likely you won’t have to do anything harder than fix a printer or restart a frozen computer. The greatest part of this job is that you can sit and get homework done during your shift so that you can go out at night.

1. Library. Working at the library is the best job you can have as a student for so many reasons. Again, you’re basically forced to study and get all of your work done because you’re already in a library. It will help pay for your books or alcohol or whatever your priorities are AND the job doesn’t require much knowledge. Perfect.
