Chapter Etiquette:

Ah yes, the wonderful weekly adventure that is Chapter. Last weekend Sally was dancing on bars, Suzie was topless by the pool, and Shannon was fighting with her boyfriend (yet again) outside the favorite campus bar for all to see. Now, Sally, Suzie, and Shannon sit quietly in their pin attire and pearls, holding their Lily planners and monogrammed pens- taking notes on the chapter schedules. They sit there, quietly and poised, acting like the perfect sorority ladies they are (for today). If anything, Kristen would be a prime standards monitor during chapter due to her blunt announcement of rules and regulations. There are just times in life when you need to close your mouth (and legs for that matter, but that’s a whole different article) and act like a proper lady. We all know how it goes, when in Chapter- “shut the fuck up and listen”. C’mon ladies, you know it is true.

Recruitment = Life. Screen Shot 2015-09-30 at 1.16.14 PM

Are there any words to adequately explain recruitment? (I have to say recruitment, as my sorority deemed the term rush as “inappropriate and a negative connotation”). This tid bit is not meant to say that you should go through life overly judging and testing potential friends andacquaintances. That’s not healthy, nor sane. Then again, neither is recruitment. In life you will be challenged with difficult decisions. You will have to budget your money, time, commitments, and relationships. Having the ability to stay level headed, even through extremely stressful, frustrating, and physically exhausting settings is a quality that only a sorority women has the ability to perfect. Let’s just say, there is a reason we make freaking fantastic stay at home moms (or any reputable profession)- we can juggle anything. So long as we have color coded pens, Starbucks, and our weekly/monthly planners.
