Call me old fashioned, but I like the idea of being in a real, monogamous, trusting relationship with someone I am truly in love and have a connection with. I like the idea of only having sex with that one person, knowing they care, knowing they won’t leave right after to go on a mission to “bone other girls”, and especially, I love having cuddles afterwards and just talking about random things, looking into their eyes while they’re talking about what they want for breakfast and thinking to myself, “I am the luckiest girl in the world.”
In my eyes, the hookup culture is toxic. It is filled with heartbreak and desperation. Each time you’re intimate with someone, you give a little bit of yourself away. So, why as a society do we want meaningful relationships to become out-dated?
